In Friday's league contest, the visiting Damascus Hornets basketball team scored a good 43-29 triumph over the Poolesville Falcons.

The Hornets (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Rockville (Rockville, MD). The Rams go into the Montgomery County - 3A/2A contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Rockville topped Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD), 43-32, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons confront the Northwest Jaguars (Germantown, MD) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Poolesville will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 2-14 record after their 54-32 non-league loss to Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD).
