December 18, 2024: Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI) and the host University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI), witnessed Anchor Bay's ice hockey team nip University Liggett by a final score of 3-2.
The Tars (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Dakota (Macomb, MI). The Cougars come into the Macomb Area - Red challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Dakota was nipped by Central (Bay City, MI), 1-0, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights battle the Berkley Bears (Berkley, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 20. University Liggett will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 4-1 non-league win over University of Detroit Jesuit (Detroit, MI).
