December 18, 2024: Baton Rouge, LA 70815 The Hammond Tornadoes soccer squad scored 8 points and held the host Belaire Bengals to 2 in the Tornadoes non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Tornadoes now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Denham Springs for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 19. Hammond will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Zachary (Zachary, LA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-0.
With the loss, Belaire moves to 2-4 on the year. The Bengals host St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Warriors in a Division III District 5 bout on Friday, January 3. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-5. St. Michael lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Holy Cross (New Orleans, LA)
