Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats (Anna, IL), 55-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Johnston City upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Dupo (Dupo, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Dupo won 36-33 in their recent league bout against Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL)
