Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO) and the visiting Timberland T-Wolves (Wentzville, MO), saw Howell Central's basketball squad knock off Timberland by a count of 33-24.

With the victory, Howell Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Howell (St. Charles, MO) to play the Vikings in a Gateway - South challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the T-Wolves play the St. Dominic Crusaders (O'Fallon, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Timberland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Crusaders come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 54-41 non-league win over Troy-Buchanan (Troy, MO).
