Iowa High School Basketball - WACO topples Sigourney
December 19, 2022: Wayland, IA 52654 In Monday's non-league outing, the WACO Warriors (Wayland, IA) basketball squad beat the visiting Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA), by a count of 56-39.
The Warriors (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Lone Tree defeated Pekin (Packwood, IA), 40-22, in a league outing.
The Savages now hold a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lynnville-Sully for a South Iowa Cedar outing on Tuesday, January 3. Sigourney will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 70-22 league win over Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 6-4.
