Kansas High School Basketball - Axtell thwarts Wabaunsee
December 19, 2023: Axtell, KS 66403 The Axtell Eagles (Axtell, KS) basketball knocked off the visiting Wabaunsee Chargers (Alma, KS), 71-52 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (5-0) will now prepare for their test against Onaga (Onaga, KS). The Buffaloes go into the Twin Valley test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Onaga went down by Cornerstone Family (Topeka, KS), 40-31, in a non-league test.
The Chargers now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. Marys for a Mid-East test on Friday, January 5. Wabaunsee will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 44-42 non-league win over Wamego (Wamego, KS). The Bears record now stands at 5-1.
