Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) and the host Boyd Yellowjackets (Boyd, TX), saw Ponder's basketball squad overcome Boyd by a tally of 59-41.

With the victory, Ponder improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 12-1.

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Whitesboro Bearcats (Whitesboro, TX) in a 3A Region II District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Boyd will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record.
