Virginia High School Basketball - Turner Ashby nips Broadway
December 19, 2023: Bridgewater, VA 22812 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Turner Ashby Knights (Bridgewater, VA) and the visiting Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA), saw Turner Ashby's basketball squad hold off Broadway by a count of 40-36.
With the victory, Turner Ashby upgrades its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA) to play the Green Hornets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Green Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Wilson Memorial won 51-43 in their recent league challenge against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA)
Next up, the Gobblers play the Luray Bulldogs (Luray, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Broadway will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 63-43 league loss to Strasburg (Strasburg, VA).
