Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Middletown Blue Dragons (Middletown, CT), 56-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newington upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Nor'easters travel to Windsor (Windsor, CT) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Windsor won 56-53 in their recent non-league bout against Southington (Southington, CT)

Next up, the Blue Dragons play the Lewis Mills Spartans (Burlington, CT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 72-35 league loss to Farmington (Farmington, CT).
