Arkansas High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon-Enola overwhelms Quitman
December 19, 2023: Mt. Vernon, AR 72111 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR) and the visiting Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR), saw Mt. Vernon-Enola's basketball squad wallop Quitman by a tally of 70-45.
With the victory, Mt. Vernon-Enola improves its record to 20-0 on the campaign. The Warhawks travel to South Side (Bee Branch, AR) to play the Hornet in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Hornet come into the challenge with a record of 7-13.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Rural Special Rebels (Fox, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Quitman will attempt to improve on its 13-3 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 61-26 non-league win over Nemo Vista (Center Ridge, AR).
