Texas High School Basketball - Lone Star nips Wakeland
December 19, 2023: Frisco, TX 75034 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) and the visiting Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX), saw Lone Star's basketball squad hold off Wakeland by a tally of 60-57.
With the victory, Lone Star improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Wylie (Wylie, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 27. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 9-5.
Next up, the Wolverines play the Turner Lions (Carrollton, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Wakeland will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 64-47 non-league loss to Frisco (Frisco, TX).
