December 19, 2024: Munhall, PA 15120 Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA), 56-34 in a league match.
With the victory, Steel Valley upgrades its record to 3-6 on the year. The Ironmen host South Park (South Park, PA) to face the Eagles in a WPIAL 3A 3 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 4-0.
The Vikings now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Summit Academy for a non-league match on Friday, December 27. Apollo Ridge will face a Knights squad coming off a 92-73 league loss to Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.
