The Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL) basketball edged the visiting Sylacauga Aggies (Sylacauga, AL), 55-51 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 13-4 record. They play next when they travel to Oxford for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. Benjamin Russell will play a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 56-45 non-league win over Boaz (Boaz, AL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Sylacauga falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Aggies travel to Winterboro (Alpine, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 2. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-1.
