New Mexico High School Basketball - Montezuma-Cortez overwhelmed by Grants

In Thursday's non-league test, the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) basketball squad trounced the visiting Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO), by a final score of 59-35.

Next, the Pirates clash with the Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM) in a non-league test, on Thursday, January 2. Grants will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Bobcats come into the test with a 6-2 record after their 22-20 non-league win over Thoreau (Thoreau, NM).

The Panthers (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM). The Bears come into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Wingate was overwhelmed by Thoreau (Thoreau, NM), 58-43, in a non-league test.
