Lapel Bulldogs (Lapel, IN) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), 48-39 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Lapel upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host Winchester Community (Winchester, IN) to face the Golden Falcons in a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. The Golden Falcons enter the match with a record of 6-6. Winchester Community lost 59-54 in their recent league match against Union County (Liberty, IN)

The Golden Bears now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blackford for a non-league match on Monday, December 23. Monroe Central will face a Bruins squad coming off a 48-29 non-league loss to Hamilton Heights (Arcadia, IN). The Bruins record now stands at 1-13.
