The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Beechcroft Cougars (Columbus, OH) and the host Mifflin Punchers (Columbus, OH), witnessed Beechcroft's basketball squad hold off Mifflin by a count of 79-75.

With the victory, Beechcroft advances its record to 2-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Powers Catholic (Flint, MI) to meet the Chargers in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 27. The Chargers enter the battle with a record of 4-2. Powers Catholic won 76-55 in their recent non-league battle against Glenn (Bay City, MI)

In their next game, the Punchers battle the Lincoln Lions (Gahanna, OH) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 5. Mifflin will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record.
