The Stony Point Tigers basketball team scored 87 points and held the host Akins Eagles to 30 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bowie for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 3. Stony Point will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-46 non-league loss to Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.

The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against University (Waco, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, University triumphed over Crockett (Austin, TX), 65-40, in a non-league contest.
