Texas High School Basketball - Johnson winner over Akins
February 3, 2023: Buda, TX 78610 The Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) basketball felled the visiting Akins Eagles (Austin, TX), 73-60 in Friday's league test.
The Jaguars (26-3) will now prepare for their test against Westlake (Austin, TX). The Chaparrals go into the 6A Region IV District 26 test with a 28-4 record. In their last test, Westlake thwarted Bowie (Austin, TX), 49-36, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 12-16 record. They play next when they host Bowie for a 6A Region IV District 26 test on Saturday, February 4. Akins will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 44-42 league loss to Johnson (Buda, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-10.
