December 2, 2022: Tecumseh, NE 68540 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mead Raiders (Mead, NE) and the host Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE), saw Mead's basketball squad overcome Johnson County Central by a tally of 51-34.
With the victory, Mead improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Raiders host Cornerstone Christian School (Bellevue, NE) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Cornerstone Christian School lost 50-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Brownell Talbot (Omaha, NE)
Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Tri County Trojans (DeWitt, NE) in a C2 District 1 challenge, on Saturday, December 3. Johnson County Central will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 49-23 non-league win over Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE).
