The Johnson County Central Thunderbirds basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Falls City Tigers to 43 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairbury for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26.

The Tigers (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Auburn (Auburn, NE). The Bulldogs enter the C1 District 1 contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Auburn ran past Nebraska City (Nebraska City, NE), 64-38, in a non-league contest.
