Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes (Homestead, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sunset Knights (Miami, FL), 61-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Somerset Academy South Homestead upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Hurricanes host Everglades Prep Academy (Homestead, FL) to play the Panther in a 3A District 16 bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Panther go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Knights play the Westland Hialeah Wildcats (Hialeah, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Sunset will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 51-39 non-league loss to Miami Springs (Miami Springs, FL).
