December 2, 2022: Lincoln, MI 48742 Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI), 46-28 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Standish-Sterling upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Panthers host Carrollton (Carrollton, MI) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Tri-Valley - West I bout on Friday, December 9. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Carrollton lost 52-39 in their recent league bout against St. Louis (St. Louis, MI)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Hillman Tigers (Hillman, MI) in a North Star bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Alcona will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 64-41 non-league loss to Cedarville (Cedarville, MI).
