California High School Basketball - University City holds off Maranatha Christian

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) and the host Maranatha Christian Eagles (San Diego, CA), saw University City's basketball squad hold off Maranatha Christian by a tally of 50-43.

With the victory, University City improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Centurions travel to Mission Bay (San Diego, CA) to confront the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 3. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Mission Bay won 58-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Castle Park (Chula Vista, CA)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Oceanside Pirates (Oceanside, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 3. Maranatha Christian will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 45-22 non-league win over San Pasqual (Escondido, CA).
