December 2, 2023: England, AR 72046 In Saturday's non-league outing, the England Lions (England, AR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mayflower Eagles (Mayflower, AR), by a margin of 63-40.
The Lions (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against Jacksonville Lighthouse (Jacksonville, AR). The Wolves go into the 2A Region 5 outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, Jacksonville Lighthouse smashed St. Joseph (Conway, AR), 52-46, in a league outing.
The Eagles now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Baptist Prep for a 3A Region 5 outing on Tuesday, December 5. Mayflower will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 53-42 non-league loss to Drew Central (Monticello, AR). The Eagles record now stands at 0-4.
