The Tarkington Longhorns basketball team scored 34 points and held the host Huntington Red Devils to 23 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Longhorns now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anahuac for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 2. Tarkington will meet a Panthers team coming off a 59-55 non-league loss to Evadale (Evadale, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.

The Red Devils (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against East Chambers (Winnie, TX). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, East Chambers ran past Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX), 63-50, in a non-league contest.
