Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX) and the host Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX), saw St. Joseph Academy's basketball squad hold off Veterans Memorial by a tally of 54-53.

With the victory, St. Joseph Academy improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Bloodhounds travel to St. Joseph (Victoria, TX) to confront the Flyers in a TAPPS 5A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Flyers come into the challenge with a record of 4-1.
