Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Central Cambria knocked off by Portage

December 2, 2023: Portage, PA 15946

The Portage Mustangs basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Central Cambria Red Devils to 35 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marion Center for a Heritage contest on Tuesday, December 5. Portage will meet a Stingers team coming off a 46-42 non-league win over Bishop Carroll (Ebensburg, PA). The Stingers record now stands at 2-0.

The Red Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bedford (Bedford, PA). The Bisons enter the Laurel Highlands contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Bedford was outscored by Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA), 32-29, in a non-league contest.
