Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), 68-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Choctaw Central upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Cherokee won 82-51 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin (Franklin, NC)

Next up, the Commodores play the Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 77-29 non-league loss to Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA).
