Kentucky High School Basketball - Mercy knocked off by Dixie Heights
December 2, 2023: Edgewood, KY 41017 The Dixie Heights Colonels basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Mercy Jaguars to 37 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Colonels now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Cross for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Dixie Heights will battle a Indians team coming off a 60-51 non-league loss to Ryle (Union, KY). The Indians record now stands at 1-1.
The Jaguars (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Lexington Catholic was defeated by Bryan Station (Lexington, KY), 57-26, in a non-league contest.
