Kentucky High School Basketball - Sayre ripped by Holy Cross
December 2, 2023: Louisville, KY 40216 The Holy Cross Cougars basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Sayre Spartans to 23 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frankfort for a non-league contest on Monday, December 4. Holy Cross will battle a Panthers team coming off a 58-44 non-league win over Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.
The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY). The Broncos enter the District 42 contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Frederick Douglass was routed by Simon Kenton (Independence, KY), 61-53, in a non-league contest.
