Kentucky High School Basketball - Garrard County trounces Sayre
February 8, 2024: Lancaster, KY 40444 The Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) basketball crushed the visiting Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY), 73-41 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Golden Lions (8-17) will now prepare for their test against Boyle County (Danville, KY). The Rebels go into the District 45 test with a 17-8 record. In their last test, Boyle County was trounced by Danville (Danville, KY), 59-54, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 5-21 record. They play next when they travel to Villa Madonna for a non-league test on Friday, February 9. Sayre will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 70-32 non-league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 4-16.
