Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA), 49-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Prairie City-Monroe upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mustangs host West Marshall (State Center, IA) to play the Trojans in a Heart of Iowa bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-1. West Marshall lost 49-42 in their recent league bout against Roland-Story (Story City, IA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA) in a Heart of Iowa bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Saydel will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Cubs go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 40-38 non-league win over Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA).
