Georgia High School Basketball - Cartersville triumphant over River Ridge
December 2, 2025: Cartersville, GA 30120 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cartersville Hurricanes (Cartersville, GA) and the visiting River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA), observed Cartersville's basketball team overwhelm River Ridge by a score of 88-52.
The Hurricanes (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Dalton (Dalton, GA). The Catamounts come into the AAAA Region 7 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Dalton trounced Adairsville (Adairsville, GA), 71-34, in a non-league match.
The Knights now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sprayberry for a AAAAA Region 6 match on Friday, December 5. River Ridge will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 68-63 non-league win over Hiram (Hiram, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 5-1.
