The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the East Chicago Central Cardinals (East Chicago, IN) and the host Lighthouse College Prep Academy Lions (Gary, IN), observed East Chicago Central's basketball team edge Lighthouse College Prep Academy by a count of 65-58.

With the victory, East Chicago Central advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN) to meet the Vikings in a non-league battle on Friday, December 5. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 1-0. Valparaiso won 67-66 in their recent non-league battle against Gary West Side (Gary, IN)

The Lions now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hammond Academy of Science & Tech for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 4. Lighthouse College Prep Academy will battle a Hawks team coming off a 48-47 non-league win over Whiting (Whiting, IN). The Hawks record now stands at 2-0.
