December 2, 2025: Smithfield, NC 27577 North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), 52-22 in a non-league match.
With the victory, North Johnston advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Panthers host Beddingfield (Wilson, NC) to face the Bruins in a non-league match on Friday, December 5. The Bruins enter the match with a record of 2-2. Beddingfield lost 53-36 in their recent non-league match against Bunn (Bunn, NC)
The Spartans now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Triton for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 3. Smithfield-Selma will battle a Hawks team coming off a 36-33 non-league win over Midway (Dunn, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 1-2.
