California High School Basketball - Camarillo thwarts Rio Mesa
December 2, 2025: Camarillo, CA 93012 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Camarillo Scorpions (Camarillo, CA) and the visiting Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), observed Camarillo's basketball team knock off Rio Mesa by a score of 41-22.
The Scorpions (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Santa Paula (Santa Paula, CA). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Santa Paula thwarted Hueneme (Oxnard, CA), 39-0, in a league battle.
The Spartans now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westlake for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 3. Rio Mesa will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 38-24 non-league win over Buena (Ventura, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-3.
