Lewis Mills Spartans (Burlington, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT), 38-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lewis Mills upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT) to clash with the Lancers in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial bout on Thursday, December 23. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Sports & Medical Sciences Academy Tigers (Hartford, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 22. Platt will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 40-10 non-league win over University (Hartford, CT).
