Alma Cardinals (Alma, NE) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Medicine Valley Raiders (Curtis, NE), 51-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alma upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Axtell (Axtell, NE) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 22. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 4-4. Axtell lost 47-44 in their recent non-league bout against Kenesaw (Kenesaw, NE)

Next up, the Raiders play the Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE) in a D2 District 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Medicine Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 65-32 non-league loss to Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE).
