The Volcano Vista Hawks basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Centennial Hawks to 35 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hawks now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albuquerque for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Volcano Vista will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 65-60 non-league loss to St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-7.

The Hawks (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Taos (Taos, NM). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Taos was routed by Roswell (Roswell, NM), 65-61, in a non-league contest.
