The Lanier Bulldogs basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Velma Jackson Falcons to 48 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holmes County Central for a non-league contest on Monday, December 26. Lanier will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 52-46 non-league win over Forest Hill (Jackson, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-4.

The Falcons (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS). The Saints enter the non-league contest with a 9-3 record.
