Ville Platte Bulldogs (Ville Platte, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Washington-Marion Charging Indians (Lake Charles, LA), 58-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ville Platte upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Opelousas (Opelousas, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Charging Indians play the Hamilton Christian Warriors (Lake Charles, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Washington-Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 65-45 non-league win over Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA).
