Louisiana High School Basketball - Ville Platte tops Mamou
February 3, 2023: Mamou, LA 70554 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ville Platte Bulldogs (Ville Platte, LA) and the host Mamou Demons (Mamou, LA), saw Ville Platte's basketball squad knock off Mamou by a count of 68-59.
With the victory, Ville Platte upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to North Central (Lebeau, LA) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 16-10. North Central won 97-60 in their recent league challenge against Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA)
Next up, the Demons play the Fairview Panthers (Grant, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Mamou will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 27-5 record after their 72-37 league win over St. Joseph's - Plaucheville (Plaucheville, LA).
