February 6, 2023: Ville Platte, LA 70586 In Monday's league outing, the Ville Platte Bulldogs (Ville Platte, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA), by a count of 77-33.
The Bulldogs (14-5) will now prepare for their outing against Church Point (Church Point, LA). The Bears go into the 3A District 4 outing with a 4-17 record. In their last outing, Church Point was crushed by Northwest (Opelousas, LA), 81-49, in a league outing.
The Red Devils now hold a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Sacred Heart for a non-league outing on Friday, February 10. Port Barre will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 65-43 non-league loss to Tioga (Tioga, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 4-11.
