December 20, 2022: Johnston, IA 50131 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) and the visiting Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs (Dallas Center, IA), saw Johnston's basketball squad hold off Dallas Center-Grimes by a tally of 58-51.
With the victory, Johnston improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Dragons host Waukee (Waukee, IA) to play the Warriors in a Central Iowa Metro - Central challenge on Thursday, December 22. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Waukee won 64-47 in their recent league challenge against Urbandale (Urbandale, IA)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Indianola Indians (Indianola, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 6. Dallas Center-Grimes will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record.
