Maryland High School Basketball - Gerstell Academy nips Concordia Prep
December 20, 2023: Towson, MD 21286 Gerstell Academy (Finksburg, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Concordia Prep Saints (Towson, MD), 54-51 in a league bout.
With the victory, Gerstell Academy upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The travel to Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Mavericks come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Manchester Valley won 65-64 in their recent league bout against Liberty (Sykesville, MD)
Next up, the Saints play the St. Paul's Crusaders (Brooklandville, MD) in a MIAA B - Red bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Concordia Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 63-47 non-league win over Parkville (Baltimore, MD).
