In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), by a count of 64-43.

The Pirates (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks go into the non-league outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Monroe smashed Central (Pageland, SC), 55-24, in a non-league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Statesville for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3. Garinger will clash with a Greyhounds squad coming off a 91-16 non-league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 0-6.
