Iowa High School Basketball - Algona can't hold off Webster City
December 20, 2024: Webster City, IA 50595 Webster City Lynx (Webster City, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA), 54-47 in a league match.
With the victory, Webster City upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Lynx travel to Northwest Webster (Manson, IA) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, January 3. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-1. Northwest Webster lost 52-51 in their recent non-league match against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA)
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop Garrigan for a North Central match on Saturday, December 21. Algona will face a Golden Bears squad coming off a 56-39 non-league win over North Union (Armstrong, IA). The Golden Bears record now stands at 5-1.
