December 20, 2024: Lake Charles, LA 70607 Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host LaGrange Gators (Lake Charles, LA), 69-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Church Point upgrades its record to 6-4 on the year. The Bears travel to Rayne (Rayne, LA) to face the Wolves in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 0-7. Rayne lost 63-61 in their recent non-league match against Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA)
The Gators now sport a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Teurlings Catholic for a non-league match on Monday, December 23. LaGrange will face a Rebels squad coming off a 47-29 non-league loss to Ascension Catholic (Donaldsonville, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 2-4.
