Mississippi High School Basketball - North Side holds off Edwards
December 20, 2024: Shelby, MS 38774 The North Side Gators basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Edwards Tigers to 45 in the Gators non-league triumph on Friday.
The Gators now have a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Baldwyn for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. North Side will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 74-38 league win over Tremont (Tremont, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Edwards falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Union City (Union City, TN) to confront the Golden Tornadoes in a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. The Golden Tornadoes go into the game with a record of 3-7. Union City won 69-57 in their recent non-league game against Dyer County (Newbern, TN)
